29 Atelier
British luxury for the eco-conscious bride
29 Atelier was created in 2016 by Elizabeth Ruddick who started her career as a young entrepreneur with her own bridal boutique before going on to train at the University for the Creative Arts where she honed her skills in design and couture dress making and tailoring. With a deep love of bridal wear Elizabeth created her own atelier in London.
"I wanted to re-think bridal wear, the demand for eco-conscious, British crafted, contemporary bridal wear is rising and I wanted to meet this demand offering brides a stunning collection of gowns inspired by couture. Flattering cuts and beautiful fabrics are at the core of what we do.’’
29 Atelier offers brides a wide range of styles from the Archive Dress Collection: which consists of a selection of iconic shapes and silhouettes.
29 Atelier also creates a seasonal collection every year which cleverly entwines the iconic archive with seasonal styles, inspired by current fashion trends. In this season’s 2024 ‘Phoenix Collection’, the inspiration is renewal and rebirth, statement fabrics and hand embroideries.
The modern woman is becoming more and more eco-conscious, changing shopping habits and behaviours to respect the new world we live in. 29 Atelier are at the forefront of championing change.
"Our collections are produced locally, reducing our carbon footprint – also allowing us to ensure that the practitioners who produce our creations are appreciated and treated ethically and fairly. This considerate approach creates accessible prices, diversity in style, and is inclusive to the eclectic society in which we live, winning the hearts of modern brides.’’
